What is Prior Authorization?

Prior authorization occurs when your insurance company does not want to cover the medications that you have been prescribed. Torrance Pharmacy can step in and help. 

Getting prior authorization for your prescriptions can sometimes be frustrating, but at Torrance Pharmacy, we have a specially trained clinical staff who knows how to take the worry and frustration out of dealing with prior authorizations.

We work on your behalf so you will have your medications when you need them: It’s just one less thing you will have to worry about. We will notify you that we are working with your provider to refill the medication in order to get prior authorization. We will get in touch with your insurance company for approval and will give you a call when your prior authorization has been approved.

For patients unable to get prior authorization for a particular medication, we will make every effort to work with the insurance company for approval on your behalf.
